vvvv is a toolkit for real time video synthesis. It is designed to facilitate the handling of large media environments with physical interfaces, real-time motion graphics, audio and video that can interact with many users simultaneously.
vvvv uses a visual programming interface. Therefore it provides a graphical programming language for easy prototyping and development.
vvvv is real time. where many other languages have distinct modes for building and running programs, vvvv only has one mode – runtime.
vvvv is free for non-commercial use.
Commercial use requires a license. Get the latest version from the Download section.
vvvv is being developed by the vvvv group.

Hola Ángel, vvvv es una potente herramienta, pero no es software libre, y lo que es mucho peor, SÓLO FUNCIONA EN WINDOWS!
La verdad es que prefiero mil veces Pure Data, una plataforma muy similar a Max/MSP (el primer software desarrollado de este tipo), pero que además es software libre, y, por tanto, mucho más potente y óptimo socialmente… 
Pure Data (más conocido por ‘PD’) es un lenguaje de programación gráfica desarrollado por Miller Puckette, que desarrolló también el citado Max/MSP, cuando trabajaba en el IRCAM (Institut de recherche et coordination acoustique/musique).

Estoy de acuerdo. Quizas me pareció interesante por hacer referencia a sistemas de este tipo q resumen el control total sobre cualquier interface, canal de entrada de datos o lo que sea. Ciertamente tiene sus pegas, pero vi curiosos los trabajos y las imágenes realizadas con este software y pense que quizas no todo el mundo los conoce y como punto de partida para un debate estaría bien.
